In 2025 we had a real affinity for Indonesian coffees. They have a beautiful body and brightness to them. The 2026 crop is no different. We called this coffee Between Acts because once you see the tasting notes you'll understand. It's a coffee that reminds us of spending time with friends, between acts, at a festival.

Chapter 01 · The Producer
Finca De Bermen, on the volcanic soils of North Sumatra.
Finca De Bermen sits on the volcanic slopes of North Sumatra, the kind of soil and altitude combination that gives Indonesian coffees their unmistakable depth. The lot is processed Anaerobic Natural — cherries are sealed and fermented without oxygen before slow drying, building layers of fruit complexity you won't find in a standard wash. Imported by our partners at Opal Coffee, kept tight from farm to roastery.Finca De Bermen · North Sumatra
In the cup
Dark fruits, a Negroni twist, chocolate finish. Heavy, balanced, theatrical.

II · In the Cup
Dark fruits, a Negroni bitter twist, chocolate weight on the finish.
Heavy and theatrical — plums and blackberry up front, a campari-like bitterness in the middle, deep cocoa on the finish. The kind of cup you slow down for.
Chapter 02 · The Ritual
An Indonesian that must be in your rotation.
Roasted for Filter this Indonesian coffee is one everyone will enjoy. Don't let the cocktail notes put you off. We would normally turn away from this but when we tried this filter from Finca De Berman. We had to have it. Use our brew guide to get the most out of this coffee.
