Sustainability at Slow Coffee Roasters

At Slow Coffee Roasters, we believe great coffee shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. That’s why we make thoughtful choices in our sourcing, packaging, and operations to reduce our environmental footprint. We recognize that coffee isn’t always the most sustainable industry, and while we’re not perfect, we’re committed to making responsible decisions wherever possible.

Packaging

Our coffee bags are 100% recyclable, ensuring that every bag can be disposed of responsibly. We encourage our customers to recycle them properly to help reduce waste. 

Shipping/Transport

We use recycled and recyclable mailers for all our online orders, keeping packaging waste to a minimum while ensuring your coffee arrives safely. We use water activated packing tape as opposed to plastic tape.

DHL GoGreen Plus

As we ship internationally, we exclusively partner with DHL Express to ensure an expedited and premium service for all our global customers. As part of this, we pay an additional contribution for each customer order towards GoGreen Plus. An innovative solution designed to help brands like Slow Coffee reduce our logistics carbon footprint by leveraging CO2 insetting and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). You can learn more here.

Wholesale & Reuse 

For our wholesale partners, we deliver coffee in reusable buckets instead of single-use packaging. This helps reduce waste and supports a more circular system.

We carefully select specialty-grade coffee from responsible producers who prioritize ethical and sustainable farming practices. By working with suppliers who share our values, we ensure that every cup of Slow Coffee supports a more sustainable coffee industry.
